What have you been watching? Including Mr InBetween and The Haunting of Hill House

It’s “What have you been watching?”, your chance to recommend to fellow TMINE readers anything you’ve been watching this week

Not many new shows this week, so I was able to make it through the entire first season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina yesterday. I also passed verdict on Titans (US: DC Universe; UK: Netflix). I’m not sure if Netflix or Amazon have anything shiny and new for me this coming weekend, so who knows what might happen on Monday. I might even review all the films I’ve watched in the past six months in the exceptionally infrequent ‘Movie Monday’…

After the jump, we can talk about all the usual regulars: Black Lightning, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Doctor Who, Happy Together, The Last Ship, Magnum P.I., Pine Gap, and You. We can also talk about the final episode of Mr InBetween and the final two episodes of The Haunting of Hill House

What have you been watching? Including Pine Gap, All American and Light as a Feather

At my TV signal, unleash Hell.

Gosh, what a lot of new shows there have been this week. I got the air date of Marvel’s Daredevil wrong – it’s out this Friday, not last Friday as I thought last week – which was some relief, but The CW has finally released its new wares onto the world and ABC has unveiled its second wave of shows. I’ve just not had time to review them yet.

Of the new shows, elsewhere, I’ve reviewed DC Universe’s Titans and passed a fourth-episode verdict on Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House; I’ve also passed verdicts on ABC (US)’s A Million Little Things and CBS (US)’s God Friended MeThe Neighborhood and Happy Together. But that still leaves a fair few other shows to cover. After the jump, I’ll be dealing with two of them: The CW’s All American and Hulu’s Light As A Feather. But HBO’s remake of BBC Four’s Camping, The CW’s remake of its predecessor The CW’s Charmed, last night’s new ABC shows The Rookie and The Kids Are Alright, and Amazon’s Matthew Weiner anthology show The Romanoffs will all have to wait. As will anything else joining them in the next couple of days, although I imagine I’ll be binge-watching Daredevil at the weekend. Or maybe Chilling Adventures of Sabrina – that’s this weekend, too, isn’t it?

However, joining All American and Light as a Feather after the jump is another new show, this one from Australia to add a little variety: Pine Gap. And, of course, there’ll be the current roster of regulars: Black Lightning, Doctor Who, The Last Ship, Magnum P.I., Mr InBetween, SEAL Team and You. One of those is for the chop – can you guess which?

Marvellous. After having becoming a bit shallow over the past few weeks, TMINE’s viewing queue has begun to fill up again. And that’s before The CW unleashes all its new shows this week, ABC (Australia) unveils spy show Pine Gap on Sunday, and Netflix jumps up, shouts “Boo!” and releases both season 3 of Marvel’s Daredevil and its remake of The Haunting of Hill House on Friday.

Crikey. I’ve not even started season 3 of Amazon’s The Man in the High Castle yet and that’s been out since Friday.

This past week, however, I have passed third-episode verdicts on Magnum P.I. (US: CBS), Manifest (US: NBC) and Mr InBetween (Australia: Showcase), and I’ve watched a good few other shows, too, about which we can talk after the jump. This week, of course, saw the return of Doctor Who with a new showrunner and a new Doctor. But Black Lightning and SEAL Team also returned, so we can discuss them, too. I made a bit more headway with Maniac, as well, and I’ve kept my eyes glued to a big bunch of the new US shows, too: A Million Little Things, God Friended Me, Happy Together and The Neighborhood. Plus, of course, there are the stalwart regulars: The Last Ship and You.

Will and Grace is back, too, but what with My Kitchen Rules (South Africa), Masterchef Australia and The Great British Bake-Off, we’ve not had a chance to watch it in The Big Room. Maybe next week.

What have you been watching? Including Maniac, Happy Together and The Neighborhood

The US networks are hurling new shows at us, hither and thither, yet the fall season isn’t truly underway yet, amazingly enough, with a couple of networks still to let loose their main offerings.

Still, elsewhere, I’ve reviewed A Million Little Things (US: ABC), Single Parents (US: ABC), The Cool Kids (US: CBS) and Murphy Brown (US: CBS), but there have been another couple of new CBS sitcoms this week, too, which I’ll be covering after the jump: The Neighborhood and Happy Together.

Netflix, of course, lives by its own rules and gives us new shows all the time. I’ve already passed a third-episode verdict on recent arrival The Good Cop and I’ll be looking at the first couple of episodes of Maniac after the jump, too. And, of course, it’s the Spring season in Australia, and I previewed Mr InBetween last week, with a third-episode verdict due on TMINE in the next few days (fingers crossed, tomorrow)

I’m sure there’ll be more shows to come this week and next, so keep your eyes glued to TMINE for all the latest reviews.

After the jump, on top of those new shows I mentioned, I’ll be casting my eye over the latest episodes of the regulars: Magnum P.I., Manifest, The Last Ship and You. One of them’s getting a promotion to the recommended list, but which one?

Found out in a tick.

What have you been watching? Including FBI, New Amsterdam and The First

It’s “What have you been watching?”, your chance to recommend to fellow TMINE readers anything you’ve been watching this week

The US fall season started in earnest this week – no more previews, just plain old new episodes of new series in their regular time slots. Since the last WHYBW, we’ve had – and TMINE has reviewed – I Feel Bad (US: NBC), Magnum P.I. (US: CBS) and Manifest (US: NBC). Joining them are New Amsterdam (US: NBC) and FBI (US: CBS), which I’ll review after the jump.

The Internet streamers have been keeping up, too – as has TMINE – with the likes of season two of Ozark (Netflix) and after the jump, The First (US: Hulu; UK: Channel 4). Netflix also gave us Maniac over the weekend, but I’ve not had a chance to watch that, so here’s a trailer in lieu:

Meanwhile, the plucky Australians have decided to give us their own version of Footballers’ Wives (Aussie rules, of course) in the shape of Playing for Keeps (Australia: Ten).

Needless to say, I won’t be bothering with that. Maybe you will.

I’ll be trying to keep up with the rest of the new schedule (I hope) so expect all manner of new US TV shows to be reviewed by the next WHYBW, although my work schedule looks a bit crazy for the next week, TBH, so I can’t promise nowt, I’m afraid.

After the jump, on top of those new shows, I’ll be casting my eye over the latest episodes of the regulars: Forever, The Last Ship and You. See you in a tick.
