Le Bazaar De La Charité
TF1 (France)'s Le Bazaar De La Charité (The Bazaar of Charity)

Every Friday, TMINE lets you know when the latest TV shows from around the world will air in the UK

What a busy week! So many acquisitions, so many premiere dates, mostly thanks to StarzPlay, so about five of you are going to be able to watch them.

All the same, after the jump, all the deets about Le Bazar de la Charité, Doom Patrol, Ragnarok, AJ And The Queen, V Wars and Himmelsdalen.

But a quiet word about Starz (US)’s The Rook, first. Remember how I said it was going to be coming to StarzPlay in the UK on July 1? Turns out it didn’t and that was only on StarzPlay Arabia or something.

But it’s definitely going to be hitting StarzPlay UK on Thursday, November 28. Okay?

V-Wars

V Wars (Netflix)

As the disease spreads and more people are transformed, society fractures into opposing camps pitting normal people against the growing number of these “vampires”. Swann races against time to understand what’s happening, while Fayne rises to become the powerful underground leader of the vampires.

Stars Ian Somerhalder and Adrian Holmes.

Premiere date: Thursday, December 26

The unfortunate adventures of three women (Audrey Fleurot, Julie de Bona and Camille Lou) after the devastating fire of 1897 that destroyed in a few minutes The Bazaar of Charity, a building hosting a very popular charity event, which also left 120 dead.

Doom Patrol

Doom Patrol (US: DC Universe; UK: StarzPlay)

Doom Patrol is a marvellously bonkers, incredibly meta, fourth-wall breaking affair – OMG, the Beard Hunter – that reimagines one of DC’s most beloved groups of superheroes: Robotman , Negative Man, Elasti-Woman and Crazy Jane, led by modern-day mad scientist Niles Caulder. Each member of the Doom Patrol suffered a horrible accident that gave them superhuman abilities, but also left them scarred and disfigured.

Following the mysterious disappearance of The Chief these reluctant heroes will find themselves in a place they never expected to be, called to action by none other than Cyborg, who comes to them with a mission hard to refuse.

Stars: Timothy Dalton, Matt Bomer, Brendan Fraser, Diane Guerrero and April Bowlby.

She’s paired up with AJ, a recently orphaned, tough-talking, scrappy 11-year-old white girl stowaway.

As these two misfits, one tall – one small, travel from city to city, Ruby’s message of love and acceptance winds up touching people and changes their lives a little for the better.

Stars: RuPaul, Josh Segarra, Michael-Leon Wooley, Katerina Tannenbaum and Tia Carrere.

Ragnarok

Ragnarok (Netflix)

Premiere date: Friday, January 31st

Six-part Norwegian Netflix original Ragnarok is a coming-of-age drama building on and contributing to a new and surprising angle on Norse mythology. The series is set in the small, fictitious town of Edda, situated in the grand, breathtaking Norwegian nature. The story revolves around the inhabitants of Edda, who are perhaps not all who they claim to be. With them, we experience a drastically changing world: melting poles, warm winters, violent downpours.

Some might say we’re headed for yet another Ragnarok. Unless someone intervenes in time…
