  • Rent-a-ghost was incredibly cheesy kids tv. Therefore I loved it. I think Russell Brand might actually be quite good in a remake, though frankly I’m surprised anyone thinks it’s worth remaking(-:

  • No shock regarding Tramadol Nights, unless it’s hugely improved. I watched the first half of the launch show and it was just utterly horrible. The sketches were dire and far too long, and the stand-up tedious and hitting obvious targets. I carried on going for a bit of the second half, but just couldn’t take it. Awful, awful stuff.
(In a sense, this is becoming a theme—Russell Howard’s escape from Mock The Week was just as terrible, although I’ve unfortunately learned that he has bugger-all material to draw on anyway.)

  • [Rob, I solemnly swear I’m not a German conspiracy theorist, but…] Judd Apatow making a comedy about a group of woman? Feminist LOVE FEST, that’ll be.

His recent comments about Knocked Up haven’t really suggested that he “gets it”, have they?

  • [Rob, you’re right!] I think none of his comments, ever, have suggested this.

I’ve never watched it but I hear Freaks and Geeks had some strong female characters, so I think he might have ‘got it’ once upon a time. But if he did, he’s forgotten about it.
