Random Acts of Ali Larter: Doing backflips and giving out cupcakes

Our Ali’s been at Wondercon this weekend, promoting – she even gave out cupcakes – her shiny 3D movie Resident Evil: Afterlife – done in proper James Cameron Avatar 3D rather than pikey “five minutes in a ZX Spectrum” 3D à la Clash of the Titans, mind.

Look, there’s a trailer for it now, albeit in 2D since the 3D one looks bizarre if you’re not wearing 3D glasses:

Athletic Ali, no? She also answered questions – if you squint:

Or not:

And might have commented on the chances of a season five of Heroes, too:

Larter told the crowd of fans, “I think we’re coming back for Heroes for another season.” However, she was quick to add, “I think, but I’m not sure. So you guys have to go and blog and get on there.”

Larter went on to say, “It’s been such a thrill being on that show and I hope that we have the chance to sort of wrap up those storylines for all the fans of it.”

Random Acts of Ali Larter: Getting soaked

Ali Larter in Resident Evil: Afterlife

I’m sure it’s entirely vital to the plot, but Ali Larter (and Milla Jovovich) are getting soaked to the skin in Resident Evil: Afterlife. If you’re not up to much and are in San Francisco this weekend, they and the director are going to be answering questions at WonderCon. Anyone going? Maybe Ali and Milla will be doing their pillow fight as promised.

In case you were worried she’s been slacking off on the charity work over the last couple of weeks, Ali’s also been signing Lindt Gold Bunnies made of porcelain to raise money for Autism Speaks during National Autism Awareness Month (that would be April).

How random.

Random Acts of Ali Larter: Posing with her other Heroes identical twin

Ali Larter and Elisabeth Röhm

This week, Ali Larter was unveiling the new Acura ZDX in LA, where she chose to wear a Brian Reyes digital print strapless dress – and to pose with (if you’re the producers of Heroes) the next best thing after an Ali Larter: Elisabeth Röhm. Which is nice. Some photographer called Erik Madigan Heck was also there. Look:

That’s less interesting though. But random.

Random Acts of Ali Larter: working hard on her birthday

Ali Larter and Jimmy Jean-Louis

How did you spend your last birthday? Resting? Relaxing? Special birthday meal with your loved ones or trip to the pub with your friends?

Well, our Ali spent her birthday helping to raise money to help increase awareness of the hunger crisis in the US. That’s not at all humbling, is it?

She was attending the FEED Foundation/Hungry In America project benefit hosted by Vanity Fair at Craft Los Angeles in Century City, California. You may remember that documentary she did last year on it, The Cause with Ali Larter.

Notice who else was there, too? Yes, it’s Heroes’ Haitian Jimmy Jean-Louis, who’s got his own charity going on for Haiti.

I feel like a serving of humble pie is being given out by everyone involved, here.

PS Yes, those are House of Lavende jewels Ali’s wearing. How did you know?

PPS if you are in Los Angeles tonight, Ali, together with her hubby and her best gal pal Amy Smart, are going to be helping out another of her favourite charities, The Art of Elysium, with their third annual auction. Still humbled.
