It’s Monday, so under the new Sitting Tennant regime, that means it must be the "sit and gawk" pictures-only selection of the Sitting Tennant gallery. We have pictures today from Ms Rullsenberg, Sister Chastity and Ms Jaradel from a variety of sources, but Sister Chastity gets a bonus point for getting a picture of DT from a recent recording of QI featuring our David.

It’s Friday and we’ve arrived at the first captionable seated David Tennant of the week. It’s from Ms Rullsenberg, so she wins the first three points available for best pic of the week: this sees a very grumpy Richard E Grant being teased by a very geeky DT who’s lording his superior performance as the Doctor in Infinite Quest over Grant’s Space Ghost-like performance as the Doctor in Scream of the Shalka. Watch out in case he glasses you, David: you know how violent these drunken thespians can get.

We’re still on old rules for marking last Friday’s caption competition, so the ten bonus points in the captioning round went to Scott 2 (his new name to differentiate him from other Scott, who IIRC correctly is the Scott with the three points) for his duck house caption; witty points went to Scott 2 as well for picture 1; Electric Dragon for picture 2; and to Electric Dragon for picture 3 as well.

Where was Sitting Tennant on Friday, I hear you ask? Well, I don’t actually. No one seemed to notice it wasn’t there. In fact, the last Sitting Tennant only got six comments. Oh dear. I’m sensing burn out. I’m sensing ennui. I’m sensing… Summer.

So after some random idea bouncing on Twitter, here’s the new plan: bi-weekly Sitting Tennant. On Monday, a simple selection of Tennants in a sitting position, one from each contributor, to replace Dick Heads, which, let’s face it, even Armitage’s Army couldn’t be bothered with, really.

These Sitting Tennants will purely be for enjoyment, so no captions please, unless you feel inspired, since they won’t contribute to your points.

Then on Friday, the best pic from the current stash will go up by itself. That one will be for captioning purposes as well. I’ll be mulling over the points system, but since the inspiration/bonus points thing didn’t seem to be too inspiring, and the new system should do away with the need to some extent, I might well be phasing out the dead wood. How about simply 10 points for the best caption, with as many attempts as you like?

Three pictures. Three pictures featuring David Tennant. Three pictures featuring David Tennant recumbent. That must mean it’s Friday. Yes, Sitting Tennant is here again to thrill you over this bank holiday weekend.

The first, from Ms Jaradel, comes from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and sees our David being offered a chance to play with some strange man’s wand; the second, from Ms Rullsenberg, sees him as a vicar in something, wishing desperately that he had a fag; while the third from Sister Chastity sees our David on the Jonathan Ross Show meeting the tiny man who inspired David’s creators to develop a full size version: “Hello, Daddy.”

Thanks to the intervention of Stu_N, we have our first inspiration points awarded: two points for Sister Chastity for picture three, which swaps her and Jaradel on the leaderboard. Ooh.
