I’m in two minds about the Veep announcement. A pity it has to end. Yet it’s good to see a defined, planned end to a narrative-based comedy. (See Ideal for the opposite.) But also the last season I watched (5) just felt off. I wonder how much it missed Iannucci.

    • It’s good to see well-defined endings with anything. I think Lost was really the show that taught networks the value of not spinning wheels. You could really see fans losing patience in season 3, before the showrunners told ABC they needed to know when the show ended so they could finish the narrative sensibly. After that it picked up again. Until the ending. Whoops.
