Tuesday’s Sitting Tennant (week 46, 2010)

Sister Chastity's Sitting Tennant

Ooh, not long now children. No, I don’t mean until Santa Claus arrives*, but until the final Sitting Tennant of the year next week. Yes, with Christmas round the corner, the final captionable Sitting Tennant is going to arrive next Tuesday, spelling an end to this year’s picture competition. Are we psyched? Are we thrilled? Of course we are – almost as much as if we’d been mainlining gingerbread, in fact.

This week’s penultimate Sitting Tennant has been provided by Sister Chastity, which means the scores are very narrow now. Who will triumph next week? Tune in in seven days’ time…

  1. Erin C: 350
  2. Sister Chastity: 340
  3. Rullsenberg: 310
  4. Toby: 185
  5. Rachel: 90
  6. Sabine: 65
  7. Karen: 35
  8. dreamer-easy: 30
  9. Dawn: 10
  10. kellyann06: 5

Meanwhile, in last week’s very meta, birthday-happy caption competition (thanks for all the birthday wishes!), there were sterling efforts from all entrants – so sterling in fact that everyone provided at least one that made me chortle. So 10 points to everyone – good luck this week!

  1. Marie: 270
  2. Rullsenberg: 260
  3. Toby: 220
  4. Electric Dragon: 195
  5. Dani: 110
  6. SK: 90
  7. Jane Henry: 75
  8. ecg: 50
  9. Rachel: 45
  10. whogal, Joe B: 30
  11. Sabine, Virpi: 25
  12. kellyann06, Sister Chastity, Alex, Paul Ebbs, theriverlady: 10
  13. George: 5

Got a picture of David Tennant sitting, lying down or in some indeterminate state in between? Then leave a link to it below or email me and if it’s judged suitable, it will appear in the “Sitting Tennant” gallery. Don’t forget to include your name in the filename so I don’t get mixed up about who sent it to me.

The best pic in the stash each week will appear on Tuesday and get ten points; the runners up will appear on Friday (one per person who sends one in) and get five points.

You can also enter the witty and amusing captions league table by commenting on Tuesday’s Sitting Tennant photo, the best caption getting 10 points, everyone who contributes getting five points.

* And if you were thinking anything else, get your mind out of the sewer
