Question of the week: who’s your favourite Sherlock Holmes?

Quite an easy one this week, but with so many possible interpretations of the character, it would be interesting to see if there’s much of a spread or if everyone’s going to say ‘Jeremy Brett’:

Whose portrayal of Sherlock Holmes is your favourite?

You can have any portrayal on stage or screen (or any other medium you care to think of, of course) in any story, original or otherwise. You can even have guest appearances on other shows (such as on the holodeck on ST:TNG). As an aide memoire, IMDB has a full list of portrayals – there’s 231 listed, but that doesn’t include the likes of House, of course.
