Upfronts week continues in the US, with ABC following on from first NBC and then Fox in showing us what it’ll be made of from Fall 2014 onwards. And it’s going to be quite a diverse crop, in all senses, by the looks of it, assuming anything survives very long.

So after the jump, feast your eyes on Karen Gillan and John Cho as a modern-day Eliza Doolittle and Professor Higgins respectively in Selfie, Ioan Gruffudd as an immortal in Forever, Ryan Phillippe trying to be an ‘everyman’ in a remake of Australia’s Secrets and Lies, musical fairytale comedy Galavant and a whole lot more.

Fox left this one off yesterday’s list. It’s unusual to say the least.

The Last Man on Earth – Comedy
Phil Miller (Will Forte) was once just an average guy who loved his family and hated his job at the bank — now he’s humanity’s last hope. Will he ever find another person alive on the planet? Would hoping that she is a female be asking too much?

Yesterday, we saw NBC get its act together and put out some trailers for all the new shows starting Fall 2014. Admittedly, it hadn’t got its act together as far as programming was concerned, but at least it had some trailers.

Now it’s Fox’s turn to show us (some of) what it’s got and it turns out to be considerably better: Batman prequel Gotham, Broadchurch remake Gracepoint (complete with David Tennant), an adaptation of Leif G.W. Persson’s Backstrom books, hip hop/crime drama Empire, ancient Egyptian fun Hieroglyph and M. Night Shyamalan suspenser Wayward Pines.

No bonus points if you make it to the end of these.
