Elvenquest explained

I mentioned Elvenquest earlier in the week. Now the plot is clearer:

We’d love you to join us for Elvenquest, a brand new sitcom exploring the funny side of the eternal struggle against the forces of evil. Elvenquest is a cross between Lord Of The Rings and Galaxy Quest, with a bit of ‘Crystal Maze‘ thrown in for good measure.

There you go then. All explained. Anyone going to go (dates, etc on the previous entry)?

Elvenquest: any ideas?

Interesting cast this one, but does anyone know what it’s about? Sounds like it could be role-playing/gaming related.

Simon Says – Simon Munnery pilot for Radio 4

I mentioned Simon Munnery a while back: now he’s recording a pilot on Radio 4. I can’t go but why don’t you?

Simon Says – pilot recording for BBC Radio 4

Book now

We’d like to invite you along to a pilot recording of Simon Says, a new show for Radio 4.

Winner of the Nobel Prize for Effort, award winning comedian, Simon Munnery delivers his low down on life.

Using stand-up comedy, music, and top comedy guest Reginald D Hunter, the programme tackles some of life’s big issues.

This week: Relationships.
The audience will also play a key role in this, as you are being asked to take part in a special Questions and Answers session, with Simon and his guest, as part of the show.

So have you always wanted to be on the radio?
Do you have any burning questions about relationships?

Well now’s your chance. Rest assured, you will not be ridiculed, but do come armed with any thoughts or problems you want to put to them; they may not solve them all for you, but they will make you laugh.

On the Hour: free download

The Guardian is offering you the chance to download an episode of On The Hour, the radio precursor to The Day Today starring Chris Morris and Steven Coogan as Alan Partridge. But you can play it in this embedded player if you’d prefer. It’s very funny.

The full edition is finally to be released on CD, as part of a collection of five 30-minute episodes, a Christmas special and the original pilot episode by Warp Records on November 24.
