Sunnyside - Season 1

Sunnyside (US: NBC; UK: Sky Comedy)

Premiere date: Monday, March 16, 9pm

Sunnyside tells the story of Garrett Modi, who was living the American Dream. As the youngest New York City Councilman ever, he was rubbing elbows with the political elite, attending star-studded parties and was the pride of Queens. But instead of spending his time in office helping the people that got him elected, he lost his way amidst the power and glamour of politics.

When his downward spiral got him busted for public intoxication (and downright stupidity), it was all caught on tape and ended his career. Now, Garrett’s crashing with his sister, Mallory, and wondering where it all went wrong. That is, until he’s hired by a diverse group of hopefuls who dream of becoming American citizens and believe he can help – giving him a new sense of purpose and a chance for redemption, as long as he remembers where he came from.

Stars: Kal Penn, Diana Maria Riva, Joel Kim Booster, Kiran Deol, Poppy Liu, Moses Storm and Samba Schutte

The English Game

The English Game

Premiere date: Friday, March 20

The English Game is set to bring the story of football to Netflix, as the six-part miniseries explores the origins of the world’s most popular sport, tracing its roots back to northern England in the mid-1800s.

Brews Brothers

Premiere date: Friday, April 10

Alan Aisenberg (Orange Is the New Black) and Mike Castle (House Guest, Clipped) star as estranged brothers Wilhelm (Aisenberg) and Adam Rodman (Castle), who find themselves running a brewery together. Each one is a beer genius… a braumeister, but they couldn’t be more different in their beer-making techniques and personalities. A lot of times in a show you see two people who complete each other. These two don’t even make a full person.

Carmen Flood and Marques Ray also star.
