A few acquisitions this week that the networks are going to sit on until they’re ready to release them into the world:

Otherwise, it’s all new premiere dates. Also, I don’t know if I was wrong when I said The Rook was going to be available on StarzPlay from Monday, but Virgin is now claiming it’s got exclusive rights to the show, so that might be worth checking before you invest in a subscription to either service.

Premiere date: Monday, July 1

South Korean adaptation of Netflix’s own Designated Survivor. When the National Assembly suffers a catastrophic attack, Minister of the Environment Park Mu-jin must find a way to lead Korea through the ensuing chaos.

Spitsbroers

Spitsbroers (The Score) (Belgium: VTM; UK: All 4)

Premiere date: Friday, July 5

Two brothers, one shared dream – becoming a professional football player. When one of both is selected to play for a top football club, he discovers the glamorous yet deceitful world of top class football. The other brother’s football dream is shattered, however, and he has no choice but to find another way to make something of his life. And one thing is certain: both they and their family will find out that there’s a price to be paid for success. Will their love for each other turn out to be stronger than the call of money and fame? 

Brothers United is a coming of age story about brotherly love, about success and failure, about growing up and the choices you make.

Premiere date: Wednesday, July 10th, 9pm

Aviation investigator Kendra Malley attempts to solve the mystery of a passenger plane that has disappeared over the Atlantic. As part of the case, she has to investigate her former boss and mentor.
