Sitting Tennant

Monday’s Sitting Tennant (week 8, 2010)

Well, almost no one noticed but I was working so hard last week on a job with the most inconvenient (for blogging) hours imaginable that I had no time to do anything but the Daily News. And I was at Ikea over the weekend – yes, all weekend – so that meant no time for Sitting Tennant.

However, that got me thinking of, amongst other things, a cover story but also whether we could turn that all to our advantage. And here’s the idea:

Wouldn’t it be much more easy and convenient to have the captionable Tennant pic on Monday, giving you a week to think of captions before a relaxing new set arriving on Friday to look at over the weekend, without the stress of captioning? I think it would.

So, I’m doing a swapsie: Monday’s Sitting Tennant is now Friday’s, and Friday’s is now Monday’s. Clear? I hope so.

So you’ve until next Monday to come up with captions for this lovely pic provided by Sabine. Good luck!

  1. Rullsenberg: 50
  2. Toby, Sister Chastity, Sabine: 40
  3. Erin C, Rachel: 15

Best caption for the St Valentine’s picture was new arrival Rachel‘s, with her Mitchell and Webb‘s "Get me Hennimore!" effort. Well done to her, and a big thank you to everyone else for contributing. Oh, and a big "Hello!" to Marie – welcome back, and I think we’re all glad to see you up on your feet again. Except for people worried that you’ll beat them in the Sitting Tennant caption competition, obviously.

  1. Jane Henry: 35
  2. Rullsenberg, Toby: 30
  3. Sabine, Electric Dragon: 20
  4. kellyann06, Rachel, Sister Chastity, ecg: 10
  5. Marie: 5

Got a picture of David Tennant sitting, lying down or in some indeterminate state in between? Then leave a link to it below or email me and if it’s judged suitable, it will appear in the “Sitting Tennant” gallery. Don’t forget to include your name in the filename so I don’t get mixed up about who sent it to me.

The best pic in the stash each week will appear on Monday and get ten points; the runners up will appear on Friday (one per person who sends one in) and get five points.

You can also enter the witty and amusing captions league table by commenting on Monday’s Sitting Tennant photo, the best caption getting 10 points, everyone who contributes getting five points.
