Review: Heroes 4×12-4×13 – Upon This Rock/Let it Bleed

Heroes 4x12-4x13

In the US: Monday 4th January, 8pm, NBC
In the UK: Some time in April on BBC2 by my reckoning

So it’s back after the Christmas break. It’s got a special two-hour premiere to launch itself back into everyone’s hearts, before returning to its 9pm time slot next week. House isn’t on (although the Fiesta Super Bowl is for the second half).

Surely the producers and writers are going to give us two hours of kick-arse goodness designed to make us all want to watch the rest of the season. There’ll be effects, great use of characters, coolness aplenty. It’ll zip past in no time and the ratings will go through the roof.

No. Wait. It’s another dull two-parter where not much really happens. Sigh.

Burn Notice – Season 3.5 promos, including a Cagney and Lacey reunion

Burn Notice 3.5

In the weird world of the USA Network, some shows don’t have seasons – they have half-seasons. Burn Notice is currently in the middle of its third season, but because the gap since the last episode has been so long, on January 21st it’s due to start “season 3.5”. Yes, that’s a half-season.

So after the jump, some exciting promos to thrill you all. This half-season is going to have guest appearances from Tyne Daly, Clayne Crawford, Chris Vance, Danny Trejo, Jason Vargas, Spencer Garrett, Tim Matheson, Seth Peterson, Rick Kelly, Carlos Bernard, Garret Dillahunt and more, but no firm details yet (as you might expect) on any of the plots, unfortunately.

And yes, that means a Cagney and Lacey reunion. See?

Oh, and Gabrielle Anwar: please eat some food. We’re worried about you, love.

The CSI attitude to sex

Via a friend of a friend, here’s the CSI attitude to sex. What do you think – accurate?

CSI Las Vegas: “Hey, so long as they’re two consenting adults, it’s all good.”

CSI Miami: “Anything but missionary style sex between a man and a woman is wrong.”

CSI New York: “If they’re NEW YORKERS we’ll let them slide.”

Catch up with Lost in just eight minutes

Given up on Lost a while ago and not sure you want to rejoin it for its final season? Silly you/poor you without Sky. The last season ended brilliantly.

But I feel your pain, so here, in just eight minutes, you can catch up with everything that’s happened in the last five seasons so you’ll be ready for season six. It leaves out a couple of important details (such as Jacob’s off-island activities), but it’ll at least help you get up to speed and understand what’s been going on.
