Street Hawk is one of those shows that holds a certain place in the affections of thirtysomething British males. There’s a whole legion of us that grew up with Knight Rider, Automan, Manimal, Blue Thunder and other ropey super-thingy shows from the early 80s and we still love them.

Threshold cancelled
It had a couple of good moments, but Threshold is to exit stage left, chased by a bear. Still don’t understand why Surface and Invasion are left on-screen and Bones‘ survival is a complete mystery to me. Shouldn’t be long now.
Alias cancelled
Thank God! ABC has put Alias out of its misery. It’s been going downhill since the first year and I stopped watching past the first episode this year. Worryingly, all the things that went wrong with Alias have been happening with Lost this year, so the much-hyped island tale might soon lose its sparkle if history repeats itself, as it seems to be doing.
A brief history of Munch
Slate has a brief guide to Edvard Munch today. CSI: Miami’s getting stupider
Monday’s anti-video game episode of CSI: Miami was even stupider than usual. There was actually some character development in it, so it wasn’t irredeemably bad, but you could tell just about everyone involved thought it had been licking the lead paint off soldiers most of their life.
