When’s that show you mentioned starting, TMINE? Including Young Sheldon

Young Sheldon

Every Friday, TMINE lets you know when the latest TV shows from around the world will air in the UK

No new acquisitions this week – sad! – but one premiere date has been announced.

Young Sheldon (US: CBS; UK: E4)
Premiere date: Thursday, February 22, 8.30pm

It’s not too surprising that this prequel to The Big Bang Theory should end up on said show’s UK home. It’s also unsurprising that’s it not really very funny at all, given the quality of its predecessor. What is surprising is that it’s actually quite sweet, more a dramedy about what it’s like being a genius growing up in Texas and going to High School when you’re just nine years old. What gags there are come from Jim Parsons’ voice over, but if you go into it thinking of it as a 1990s Physics Wonder Years, you might actually find a few decent things to enjoy.
