Viceland hasn’t yet done much by the way of scripted content so far, just acquiring other people’s programmes, but coming in August in the US, later this year in the UK, is What Would Diplo Do?.

Louie meets WorldStar HipHop crossed with This Is Spinal Tap, James Van Der Beek plays a fictional version of DJ superstar Diplo in a collection of parables about life as told through the eyes of guy who can bring 60,000 people to their feet… but kind of sucks one-on-one.

Van Der Beek not only stars as the eponymous DJ, he writes and show-runs What Would Diplo Do?, so this should be something for Van Der Beek fans for sure. And if you’re not, you should probably have watched Don’t Trust The B—-
