Golden Years – not to be confused with Stephen King’s Golden Years – was one of Channel 4’s 1999 Comedy Lab pilots. Written by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, it sees a pre-The Office Gervais as a video store owner obsessed with David Bowie and appearing on Stars in Their Eyes.
