New US TV show casting

  • I am not surprised Cult was cancelled. It was really awful. Basly acted, terrible execution and patchy pacing. So far only The Following has me hooked this year. Add to my possible cancelled list: The Americans, Resistance and Zero Hour .. I am guessing about that one.

One I've quite liked but am no convinced how long it will last is Bates Motel. The actor for the Athony Perkins role is brilliant. Sadly I think this will probably be cancelled too.

  • Hey George, welcome back! Glad to see you here again.

Is your cancelled list the shows you like that you worry are going to be cancelled, or the shows you're thinking of dropping? The Americans has been renewed for a second season; Zero Hour got cancelled after three episodes; Bates Motel has been picked up for a second season. Not sure what Resistance is (Revolution), but that's NBC's most popular drama at the moment, so has a season in at least and I wouldn't be surprised if it gets picked up for another.

  • Hey Rob, its shows I think will be cancelled. I am not surprised Cult and Zero Hour got cancelled. Pretty hackned stuff. Another one to add to the list is Orphan Black or Dire Black as I call it. I haven't seen Resistance yet but odds are its the same, though I understand its been guaranteed a second season by Scyfy anyway!

  • Ah – Defiance, I think you mean. Yes, already got good ratings for SyFy so unlikely to get cancelled. Don't know about Orphan Black – ratings haven't been published AFAIK

  • Just to prove the point a sign poster has put up a 15ft poster by our house for Defiance. So I have to name check it every time I walk into town or home. I will give it a try as it has a sort of trekkie vibe about it , though not sure if thats a recommendation or not. I should also check out Hemlock Grove which just started on Netflix.
