Invasion is out of The Loop

The cast of The LoopI’ve been getting a bit worried of late. I slated Invasion when it launched, but it made it to a whole season. I praised The Loop, but that ended after only seven episodes. Heist got dropped after five. Has my ability to spot dross and quality been compromised after watching CSI: Miami for so long?

Today has brought all kinds of ego-restoring confirmation. Invasion has now been cancelled by ABC, although there’s a possibility that new network The CW (a merger of sorts between UPN and The WB) will pick it up. The Loop is also back for a second season of 13 episodes, which is double its first season episode count. Happy happy joy joy! I was right. Kind of.

Heist, however, is still screwed, but I was never that keen on it anyway. At least, that’s what I’m telling myself.

UPDATE: Teachers, which I also panned, is getting the chop, as is Surface, probably. I’m clearly on a roll.
