It's the Extras Christmas trailer

Posted on October 5, 2007 | 4 comments |

Featuring Clive Owen (v funny), George Michael, Gordon Ramsay and yes, David Tennant pulling faces. I actually laughed, which is more than I did through much of season two.

Oh that looks good - and there's me, more of a Peter Kay woman. :)

Yes, I'm not at all a fan of Extras and that looked great. I really hope there isn't a bit they haven't cut into the trailer where Ricky Gervais accidentally comically insults a lesbian in a wheelcair with long drawn-out "hilarious" results.

I find it interesting we saw Tennant in full "Who"-mode, but no connection discernible as to Andy's involvement with the scene. Makes me wonder what kind of surprise we have in store - did he snag a guest spot as some classic villain? Before his own series took off, I could see Andy becoming just another Cyberman, or more likely a chubby Sontaran, or a Gallifreyan stuck in one of those high collars.

But now that he's a "name"? The new Davros? A new character in charge of UNIT? Now that Simm is gone, maybe he'll be the new Master in the 'Extras' version of 'Doctor Who'.

Better yet, maybe we're seeing Tennant bathed in the green light because he's going through regeneration, and Andy Millman is the new Doctor!

Plays hob with my Toobworld concept, but sometimes I just have to sit back and enjoy TV like everybody else.

Couldn't resist a bit of catchphrase-comedy bashing, could he? It's be ok if he was just doing it for comic affect but the fact is he's made his true opinions on the issue very clear.

Rest of it looked good though.
