It’s “What have you been watching?”, your chance to recommend to fellow TMINE readers anything you’ve been watching this week
It’s a bit of a mopping up job today. Already this week, I’ve discussed all the UK TV and the Netflix shows that I watched over Christmas, so today, rather than cover any new shows, I’m going to be talking about the regulars in the TMINE viewing queue – what’s left of it, anyway.
Stumptown and Evil both took a Christmas break, and all the remaining regulars actually concluded either the entire season or the entire series, leaving just those two in the ongoing viewing pile. I wonder how long that will last?
But after the jump, we can discuss the final episodes (for now – they’ve all been renewed for second seasons) of For All Mankind, The Mandalorian and Virgin River, as well the final ever episodes of Mr Robot.
The CW renews: Batwoman, Nancy Drew, All American, Black Lightning, Charmed, Dynasty, The Flash, In the Dark, Legacies, Legends of Tomorrow, Riverdale, Roswell New Mexico and Supergirl
We’ve already got down to talking about 2019’s UK TV Christmas, we’ll be talking about all the usual regulars tomorrow but now, TMINE is turning its attention to what Netflix had to offer over Christmas.
This year, I managed to make my way through two complete seasons of TV: season 2 of You and season 2 of Lost in Space. On top of that, I’ve watched a couple of episodes of both The Witcher and Messiah.
Behold! It is indeed a Christmas miracle. For on this yuletide past, TMINE did indeed watch some actual UK TV.
None of it live, of course, all on iPlayer and the like, but nevertheless, UK TV was viewed… and even enjoyed in some cases.
Nevertheless, TMINE is very predictable in its tastes so don’t be surprised when I tell you that one of the shows starred Joanna Page, one of the shows was AGhost Story For Christmas, one was a horror show written by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, one was a sci-fi show about a certain Time Lord/Lady, and one was a reboot of a classic TV show of the 70s.
Full reviews of all of those after the jump. In case you’re wondering, I did watch some other TV as well – all the Netflix shows I’ll be talking about later today while the remaining members of the regular viewing queue will be the subject of tomorrow’s discussions.
But first, watch the Queen like the good patriots you are. It is the afternoon, after all.
