Today’s Sitting Tennant: Jonathan Ross

David Tennant on Jonathan Ross

Today’s Sitting Tennant for the weekend is from me, because for some reason no one has been looking for pictures of David Tennant sitting down. Or if they have, they’ve been keeping the results to themselves. Selfish.

This is from his appearance on Jonathan Ross‘s show back in 2005. I leave it up to you intrepid caption writers to work out what his next trick will be.

The picture competition leader board, of course, stays the same as last time, since we have no new entrants. Shame. Where’s the Tennant love, I ask you?

  1. Jaradel, Rullsenberg: 1

However, the caption competition is as vibrant as always. Rullsenberg gets double points for her… well, you decide. Does she know something we don’t know about DT or does her mind just work in a certain way? Meanwhile, Tobes and Jane Henry get a half-point each for their topical inauguration-related captions.

That means the scoreboard now stands as follows, with Marie retaining her lead, and Jaradel over-taking the Canadian farming collective while they debate whether five-year plans are inimicable to true communism or a necessary evil within pre-communist socialism, rather than doing something important like captioning David Tennant:

  1. Marie: 5.5
  2. Toby, Jane Henry: 4.5
  3. Rev/Views, Rullsenberg: 4
  4. Jaradel: 3
  5. Aaron, Persephone: 2

As always, captions and new submissions for the gallery, please. Remember, you can submit as many (witty) captions as you like for each and every picture, with topical captions (and pictures of David Tennant in current productions) getting extra marks. The wittiest caption for each picture will get double points.

Got a picture of David Tennant sitting, lying down or in some indeterminate state in between? Then leave a link to it below and if it’s judged suitable, it will appear in the “Sitting Tennant” gallery. You can also enter the witting and amusing captions league table by commenting on existing photos in the gallery.

League of Gentlemen

I went to the League of Gentlemen In Conversation event last night at the BFI. In attendance were the full League. That might get a full write up at some point, if anyone’s interested (anyone?).

But before that, I thought I’d let you know a few juicy nuggets about their forthcoming (or not) projects, including Sherlock Holmes, Psychoville and the Lucifer Box adaptations.
