Tom Selleck was originally going to be Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark. Yes he was. If it weren’t for the fact his Magnum PI contract was a bit restrictive, he would have been, too. Instead, Harrison Ford got the job.

But Selleck did audition for the role. Look, here”s his screen test – with Sean Young instead of Karen Allen. Fun, huh?
