Question of the week: do you watch ITV – at all?

A question mainly for UK viewers but if you’re overseas and know what’s on BBC and what’s on ITV – and haven’t been confused by BBC America – feel free to join in.

This week, we’re seeing the very slow beginnings of the Autumn schedule in the UK. Next week, the US will start cranking up as well, so get ready for a brace of reviews from me there. But you may have noticed nothing from me relating to the UK’s new shows, including the remake of classic series Bouquet of Barbed Wire, starring Trevor Eve. Surely I should have tuned in for that, huh – Trevor Eve, good; classic TV series, good?

Except it’s on ITV1 and the idea of watching ITV1 is up there with being attacked by ninja or operated on without anaesthetic: there will be pain and I will not enjoy it. True, occasionally something good might turn up – usually something in the crime genre, but even then, there’s still an Identity for every decent show – but it’s very occasionally. So I don’t watch ITV – at all – if I can avoid it. Am I alone in this?

So this week’s question is:

Do you watch ITV at all – even ITV2, ITV3 or ITV4? If you do, why? If you don’t, why? And is for a reality show or do you ever watch their comedies, documentaries (if you can find them) or dramas?

As always, leave a comment with your answer or a link to your answer on your own blog
