Holiday meme of the week: Whose death made you cry the most?

Okay. We can talk about this without worrying about spoilers now. Obviously, in a very recent Torchwood, Ianto Jones popped his clogs, adding to the show’s already high body count. I imagine the effect on teenage girls must have been greater than with adults, but you never know. However, we all remember our first, so the question of the week is:

Whose death on TV was the first to upset you?

It can be a real person or a fictional person – it’s up to you. Personally, Soolin getting shot at the end of Blake’s 7 was my first TV trauma; and Peri’s getting shot in Doctor Who had me upset for quite some time. But how about you?

As always, leave a comment with your answer or a link to your answer on your own blog.
