Random Acts of Ali Larter: Subversive

Ali Larter pretending to be Allegra Coleman

Today, in our first reader-submitted Random Act of Ali Larter (thanks Stu!), Ali Larter is being subversive. Is it because being a “straight from the hip” kind of gal, there’s probably a few things she’d like to say about the producers of Heroes right now but can’t?

Maybe.

Is it because, while still a jobbing stage actress, she colluded with one of the writers of Esquire to satirise the reporting of celebrities – by pretending to be rising starlet and alleged girlfriend of David Schwimmer, Allegra Coleman, something only revealed to be a hoax by a later press release from the magazine? And despite that all being a hoax, it launched her career, inspired a book and even got a mention in Hitch?

I don’t think so. That was a while ago.

Or is it because she’s secretly siding with the Republicans who want to vote against Obama’s $825bn economic stimulus plan and destroy the world economy from within?

No. Actually, the first one seems more likely, so let’s go with that. What do you think?
