Dax Shepard and Lake Bell in ABC (US)’s Bless This Mess
This week’s reviews
With everyone celebrating that Jesus dying (and coming back again) for the past few days, it’s been another quiet one for TMINE. But elsewhere, I did review ABC (US)’s Bless This Mess and Orange Wednesday took in Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, so I’ve not been totally slacking.
What’s coming this week
A few new shows are coming up, and fingers crossed, I should finally be able to watch all of TVNZ 1’s The Bad Seed. Plus Orange Wednesday tomorrow will be taking in an Australian double-bill, Mystery Road and Goldstone, as well as a classic from the 80s, The Name of the Rose.
There’ll be other stuff, too.
Freeform (US)’s Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger
The regulars
While there may not have been a huge number of new shows, I’ve not been slacking when it comes to the regulars. I’ve now caught up with episodes 2-4 of The Twilight Zone, so I’ll be looking at that, as well as all the other regulars: Au Service De La France, Doom Patrol, Game of Thrones, The Good Fight, Happy!, Il Miracolo (The Miracle), Il Nome della Rosa (The Name of the Rose), The Magicians,Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger, The Orville, Star Trek: Discovery, Warrior, What We Do In the Shadows and Whiskey Cavalier.
Brace yourselves, though, because not only are The Magicians, Il Miracolo and Star Trek: Discovery leaving that list because they’ve just had their season finales, I’m also purging no fewer than five of the others, on the general grounds they’re not much cop any more.
See you in a mo for a veritable TMINE Night of the Long Knives!

CBS (US)’s The Code
This week’s reviews
TMINE took a few well-deserved days off at the end of last week, which means its usual prodigious output was a little more subdued than usual. But elsewhere, you can find a review of CBS (US)’s The Code, while last week’s Orange Wednesday took in Shazam! and Aquaman.
New shows
TVNZ premiered The Bad Seed at the weekend, so I’ll be trying to review that this week, as well as ABC’s Bless This Mess. Otherwise, with Easter holidays coming up, it’s liable to be another quiet one. Sorry!
Fox (US)’s The Orville
The regulars
I’ll be trying to do a third-episode verdict on The Twilight Zone this week, so I’ll hold off on reviewing that for now. Meanwhile, The Orville‘s back off its holidays, so after the jump, I’ll be looking at that, as well as all the other regulars: DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Doom Patrol, The Good Fight, Happy!, Il Miracolo (The Miracle), Il Nome della Rosa (The Name of the Rose), The Magicians,Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger, Star Trek: Discovery, Warrior, What We Do In the Shadows and Whiskey Cavalier.
Shockingly, one of those is for the chop. But which?
And oh yes, another show made its return this week. You might not have noticed. I don’t think anyone’s mentioned it. What was it?

Cinemax (US)’s Warrior
This week’s reviews
It’s been another busy week for TV, but since the streaming services only served up Quicksand (Netflix) (yawn), there was no Boxset Monday this week. Sorry. However, TMINE did review the following fine – and not so fine – shows:
And for Orange Wednesday, I reviewed Donkeyote, John Wick – Chapter 2 and Justice League vs The Fatal Five.
It also meant that I had time to catch up with all the returning regulars, some shows I haven’t watched in a while, some new regulars and some movies.
CBS (US)’s The Code
New shows
There are some new shows just around the corner. However, I’m off on a jaunty little break from Thursday, so I don’t know how much time I’ll have to watch or review anything.
I’ll certainly have time to review The Code (US: CBS), though, and tomorrow’s Orange Wednesday will take in both Aquaman and Shazam!
Arte (France)’s Au service de la France (A Very Secret Service)
The regulars
The Orville is still on holiday so join me after the jump for a look at the latest episodes of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Doom Patrol, The Good Fight, Happy!, Il Miracolo (The Miracle), Il Nome della Rosa (The Name of the Rose), The Magicians,Star Trek: Discovery, What We Do In the Shadows and Whiskey Cavalier. We also have the double-episode return of Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger to talk about. And I took in another episode of Au service de la France (A Very Secret Service), just because I could.

FX (US)’s What We Do In The Shadows
This week’s reviews
It’s been a busy old week for TV, with a whole bunch of returning shows, as well as some new ones. However, despite my grandiose promises last week, I’ve not reviewed a huge amount. Elsewhere, TMINE has only looked at:
To be fair, that’s because all the shows I’d planned to review in depth weren’t as tempting as I’d hoped…
Netflix’s Osmosis
New shows
I did promise last time that for this week’s Boxset Monday, I’d review either Netflix’s Osmosis or Amazon’s Hanna. Unfortunately, one episode was about all I could take of Osmosis in a sitting, but I’ll be talking about that after the jump.
So then I tried episode two of Hanna, having already previewed episode one a while back. However, while that proved more appetising than the first, it had some other qualities that made me sigh a lot. And not make me want to watch any more episodes in hurry. We’ll talk about that after the jump, too.
Before next WHYBW, I’ll be previewing Jordan Peele’s new take on The Twilight Zone and maybe The CW’s In The Dark, Cinemax’s Warrior and Netflix’s Quicksand, as well as anything else that crops up. Orange Wednesday will be back tomorrow with reviews of John Wick – Chapter 2,Justice League vs The Fatal Five and Donkeyote.
Happy and Christopher Meloni in Syfy (US)’s Happy!
The regulars
As for the regulars, I’m all caught up now. The Orville is on yet another long break, so join me after the jump for a look at the latest episodes of Doom Patrol, The Good Fight, Il Miracolo (The Miracle), The Magicians,Star Trek: Discovery and Whiskey Cavalier. I’m going to be demoting one of them – can you guess which?
I’ll also be frowning at the return of Happy!, smiling thinly at the mid-season return of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and waving goodbye sadly to the first season of Magnum P.I.
