What time, TMINE? Including Servant, Eight Days and Seaside Hotel

Acht Tage

Every Friday, TMINE lets you know when the latest TV shows from around the world will air in the UK

Far fewer acquisitions and airdates this week than last week, but we do have some, you’ll be glad to hear.

The only new acquisition without a premiere date is by Amazon, with Mexican production Narcos vs Zombies set to hit the Internet next year some time.

But for the premiere dates of Servant, Acht Tage (Eight Days) and Badehotellet (Seaside Hotel), join me after the jump

Premiere dates

Badehotellet (Seaside Hotel) (Denmark: TV2; UK: Walter Presents)

Premiere date: Friday, November 22

Badehotellet (Seaside Hotel) is the story about the guests and staff at a beach hotel by the North Sea sand dunes. At the heart of the story are the lives of three young people: the chambermaid Fie, the merchant’s daughter Amanda, and the local fisherman Morten. Their fates are intertwined, and their stories are about emancipating themselves from the plans other people have made on their behalf, the attempts on social ascent, and about losing and finding oneself on the way.

The story takes place in the years 1928-33, when the world is falling apart. It’s a multi-plot-series that dynamically shifts between upstairs and downstairs, and between seriousness and humour.

Stars: Rosalinde Mynster and Anette Støvelbæk

Acht Tage
Sky Deutschland (Germany)’s Acht Tage (Eight Days)

Acht Tage (Eight Days) (Germany: Sky Deutschland; UK: Sky Atlantic)

Premiere date: Tuesday, November 26, 9pm

Eight Days explores what people will do when they know the end is near. There are eight days left. A 40km-wide meteor is racing towards Earth at a speed of 30,000km/h. The anticipated strike zone is right in the middle of Europe. Estimated European survival rate: zero. The United States tries to knock the meteor off course with nuclear weapons, but fails. All of Europe is on the run.

Suddenly, people can break the speed limit at will, have wild unprotected sex, do all the drugs they want, shop with no money, live without working and love with no consequences. But in the end, the only thing that matters is: what’s really important to you in your final days and hours?

Stars: Christiane Paul, Mark Waschke and Lena Klenke
