Rupert was having a relaxed conversation at Wimbledon between matches and explaining why he wasn't working at the moment. And inevitably he was going to frame the outcome from his perspective. I think there is still a lot about this we don't know.

From what I have heard the original script wasn't that hot and from what I have seen it wasn't a good pilot but ABC are keen to have a Bruckheimer. They may want to develop the concept but the project seems doomed.

How he believes the show to be cancelled is inexplicable - if he's trying to put a brave face on it and claim that the show is cancelled in its current form (but will return in another), then surely he knows he would be caught out with the trades reporting on its progress.

On the other hand, let's just say he was misled by the agents he refers to and that he does not follow the trades - that really would be shocking!

Sounds like he did not enjoy the experience at all - I wonder whether he got on with Reiko A, given their common interests - starring in similar dramas, Spooks and 24.
