I saw the "edited" version on msn.com and that was only missing the curse words, so I think I got to see most of it without shelling out for Showtime.

I enjoyed it more than I thought I would; with some knowledge of that world from the war stories my Mom would tell when she was a nurse, and from my sister-in-law as well (who prefers working the ER no matter how crazy it gets), it felt kosher that those things could happen.

Merett Wever caught my attention in the 'Studio 60' pilot and so I hope her student nurse role isn't always played so broadly. I like everybody in the cast, but Eve Best really takes the lead as the interesting character in this show.

But all of it just wasn't enough to convince me to add yet another premium channel. A DVD release comes along, that I would check out....

Like Toby my mum's an ex nurse (not sure what she'd make of a drugtaking one (-:), who worked Casualty in the EENd on Christmas Eve. She always gets cross with medical shows where people flap. She says they don't generally, so I'd be interested to see what she makes of this. I'll certainly look out for it.
