I'm willing to cut this one a bit more slack than the usual BBC3 crap because it did seem to have potential and the people involved have genuinely good track records. It was quite Father Ted-ish and probably that took a while to work too (I mean before episode 1, as the character was already established in Ireland).

In fact I sink into a fit of depression to think that the channel which airs Family Guy in the UK has sunk to such depths in commissioning and airing this total bilge. I can understand the mistake in commissioning it but then to actually air it - no excuse. Surely just cut your losses.
