But to be honest, after reading your review I'm wondering if it's the kind of thing I'll enjoy or not. If they've removed a lot of the culture/country specific references to become more palatable that's a big minus for me. I like to watch TV from other countries to try and understand their lives, societies and cultural eccentricities. I don't want to see something homogenized for the mainstream.

Oh I sound like a TV snob don't I? Well, no matter. I shall give Flashpoint a spin regardless, it's one of the Canadian shows I want to try out. ReGenesis is the other.
