          <description><![CDATA[<p>Did anyone REALLY hope it would be good?  Seriously?  Life on Mars only just about sustained itself for two short series in the UK (and I speak as somone who loved it, and the ending, but who recognised it had a limited lifespan).  A US remake was never really destined for greatness, was it?</p>

<p>The NY shift may help, but it's a bit of a puzzle why they would take the idea, some script/cast elements and the title (without the song!!!) and then shrink it into 40 min episodes when the original was already busting the seams with inconsistencies in a 60 mins...</p>

<p>I'm not hopeful basically - and I don't think I ever was.</p>]]></description>
