Surely it can only be a matter of time (given how Welsh she is as well as how hot), that Joanna turns up in a) an episode of Torchwood or b) Dr Who or c) both. My money's on everyone falling in love with her and her dying some tragic self sacrificing kind of death though, so maybe it would be safer for her in Barry...

I can only hope. However, she's going to be in Fat Pig until September, filming the Gavin & Stacey Christmas special after that, and then she's planning on having babies. Plus who knows what shape Torchwood will be in? It's not been officially re-commissioned for a third series yet...

Still, my vote is in: Joanna Page for companion for the Doctor Who specials next year.

Despite its being written by a certain "Russell T Davies" (who he?), I really disliked Mine All Mine. Griff and his rubbish Welsh accent (he may have a Welsh name, but is he Welsh enough… sorry, Dead Ringers quote), general tattness. Allegedly, it was a contractual obligation to ITV he had to fulfil before legging it to the Beeb to do Doctor Who and I can well believe it.

All the same, I'm trying to rewatch it to see if I misjudged it. But Joanna Page running around only in shorts and bra all the time is a little… distracting. It's taking some time.

Tough job but someone has to do it. Gosh darn she is adorable in this pic ain't she?! I'd better hold off seeing too much footage featuring her in such limited clothing though as I suspect it may be too much for already flexible sense of scxualidentity...

Ugh. I'm tainted?

Based on that picture, I'd nominate Ms. Page to be a recurring character from the 1900 era 'Torchwood'. And the picture could serve as a suggestion for the character - charming one minute, utterly ruthless against Victorian era aliens the next.

I'd love to see "steampunk" sci-fi on the TV!

Why? Why?): McDonald's, Microsoft, buttered popcorn - it's all the same. Plus there's a golden rule in web development: design once for all the regular browsers that more or less follow industry standards, then spend the same amount of time making it work in Internet Explorer. Bloody thing.

Oh those scenes with Martin Freeman were the best in the film I thought, but it does make it a no no for watching with the kids... I didn't realise it was her till you said.

And we'll have to agree to disagree about Mine all Mine. It was the reason I didn't gulp when I saw RTD was going to do Dr Who (given that the two previous things I'd watched of his were Queer as Folk - brilliant but not exactly suitable for family viewing - and that weird Christopher Ecclestone thing about the second coming), because I thought oh he can do cosy and funny as well as edgy. And I'm sorry. To women of a certain age, Griff always does something.... OK he hasn't aged well but I can remember him in his prime can't I?
Ditto Colin Firth, just rewatched The Hour of the Pig for the first time since 1993, and I had forgotten just how hot he was and MUCH BETTER in this then as Mr Darcy....

"Oh those scenes with Martin Freeman were the best in the film I thought"

I'm looking forward to them. Sort of.

Still re-evaluating Mine All Mine, but the title sequence alone gives me the shudders. When you look at what ITV's trying to do now in terms of drama, you realise it's shows like MAM that got it into the mess - or at least marketing mess – that it's in now. It just scares off anyone looking for quality, even when there might potentially be quality. Fingers crossed, I'll be proved wrong though.

I figured nu-Who would be good because I remembered Rusty's first stabs at kids sci-fi: Dark Season and Century Falls.
