First official picture of and interview with Jenna-Louise Coleman as the new Doctor Who companion

I don’t think that’s an official outfit.

Here she is being interviewed by the BBC, BTW. And was she any good on Titanic (aka Drownton Abbey) last night?

If I were on Julian Fellowes's Titanic I would have steered into an iceberg just to end the boredom.

New Doctor Who girl wasn't even in it much, and curiosity about her was the only reason I even watched the damn thing. So basically this weekend I had two hours of my life stolen from me.

Nice to see she's found a use for that jumper her great aunt gave her last Christmas.

  • @d10ca8d11301c2f4993ac2279ce4b930:disqus . Oh actually, I didn't know she was Dr Who girl, but I did think, who's that actress? As I thought she stood out in the scenes she was in. I quite liked Titanic, but it was basically Downton on a ship;-)

I've never watched Downton Abbey, because even though Gosford Park had some good lines it was really tediously long and directionless, so the through of what looked like basically the same thing on a weekly basis never appealed.

I assume that the episodes are all going to have overlapping timeframes and that minor characters will get more time in future episodes, so we should see more of her, but I am very unsure whether I can be bothered.

  • Yes, I think that's the idea. I'm a big Downton fan, but I know it's not to everyone's taste 🙂 I watched Titanic as I was staying with my mother and I didn't think she'd be up to seeing the finale of Being Human:-)

SK – thank goodness someone else does NOT watch Downton Abbey. Agree about Gosford Park to a large degree. I felt I should like it but really was not bothered.
