Only 'American'? I think you confused me - whatever that accent was, it was only vaguely American in terms of the continent. There was no specific American city identifiable!

I didn't think that Gene Hunt rumor would have legs and I'm glad they (mostly) put an end to it so quickly. But I would love to see Glenister come back as a Gene Hunt like character - there are certain actor/character-type combinations that just work no matter how often they're brought back.
