It's now been withdrawn in Australia after complaints from around the world (mainly the US), but is this KFC ad racist?

Australia is no more racist than the USA maybe even less so. How dare anyone from a country that allowed the Ku Klux Klan to exist brand us racist. I think it's a bit of the pot calling the kettle black. Remember that the early Americans treated their indigenous people about the same as we treated ours but they also imported slaves which we did not.

Just watched a Charlie Sheen movie Hot Shots for the 5th time..lots of comedy about black people, arabs and other ethnics. Didnt see the yanks carry on like idiots and try to have the movie taken off the air like the KFC commercial in Oz. Get a life guys ! Worry about your own country issues before carrying on about ours !

I read an explanation as to why it was racist... I didn't see it myself. Apparently it is reinforcing a stereotype that black people like fried foods. Hmm. So where does this stereotype come from? I never heard of it before. I suspect it came from the US so it is the US therefore that is racist.
