Sister Chastity's Sitting Tennant

Christmas TARDISWelcome to day 11 of advent Sitting Tennant. What's behind your window? Why, it's a gift from Sister Chastity.

Apparently, it's either our David in Hamlet or he's auditioning for a part in The Hobbit. But what do you think?

David had so much fun creating his Doctor Who video diaries that he decided to start taping the rest of his life (and of those around him) as well...

If I keep filming maybe I'll see when Sister Chastity catches up with me for another sitting Tennant picture!

The plan is to walk the earth barefoot. If it was good enough for Kwai Chang Caine....

I'm busy filming some country matters* - and that's why Ophelia is so disturbed. That's a big bull!

*NB I cannot express how excited I am that they didn't even SLIGHTLY tone down Tennant's delivery of that line for the BBC/RSC/Illuminations Hamlet production. I know it's Shakespeare, so most will cope far better with the word than they would normally, but even so. yay!

It was because of the out-takes from his video diary - in which the state of his feet were accidentally picked up by the camera - that rumors about David Tennant playing Bilbo Baggins began in earnest.

"I told Will, I said 'no-one's going to like that Hamlet thing, too much of a downer ending.' Well, I've filmed an alternative ending in which it turns out Ophelia wasn't dead after all and she and Hamlet get married and he's reconciled to Claudius and they all have a rousing dance to 'I'm A Believer' at the end and there's a great bit of business in the background with Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, they improvised all that! Hilarious guys. Just let me turn the projector on..."
