OMG I feel old. First Highlander, now Nightmare on Elm Street. They are remaking all the films I saw in my courting days. What's next? A remake of Witness? Name of the Rose? Fatal Attraction? Hellraiser?

They are remaking Hellraiser, and Ali Larter's latest, Obsessed, was basically Fatal Attraction but with less sex.

I wouldn't mind a remake of Name of the Rose. There's so much in the novel that a new adapatation could quite easily take a different tack.

When husband and I were living in different cities we once went to the cinema twice in one weekend. I chose Name of the Rose, he chose Hellraiser(-: Amazingly we still got married(!) Actually, having bitched about it he agreed my choice was a good one. I love Sean Connery in that film, but you're probably right it could stand a remake.
I was jesting about the remake of Hellraiser, Rob. Hmm. I'm not sure anyone can ever match Pinhead for the ultimate in pleasure and pain... Have a cousin who used to do sound effects and she provided some of the sound effects for Hellraiser 2 I think.
