Adam - An Asperger's love story

Posted on July 23, 2009 | 8 comments |

Just found out about Adam. Ah. How sweet!

In this heartfelt romantic comedy, Hugh Dancy (THE JANE AUSTEN BOOK CLUB, CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC) stars as Adam, a handsome but intriguing young man who has all his life led a sheltered existence - until he meets his new neighbor, Beth (Rose Byrne, "Damages," 28 WEEKS LATER, KNOWING).

It's already won an award at the Sundance Film Festival, and was the closing night premiere at the Edinburgh Film Festival at the end of June. It's in US cinemas July 29th and in the UK on August 7th.

    "Lovely Rose Byrne, you say?"

I knew that would get someone's interest. Anyone going to fess up to being a Hugh Dancy fan?

All I'll say is that while Casanova gets all the DT love on here, as far as I'm concerned, it had Rose Byrne, Laura Fraser and Nina Sosanya. Thank you, BBC.

Quiet appreciated. And it was delicious to see NS playing opposite DT in Love's Labour's Lost last year.

DOH! I meant to say QUITE appreciated. 'Quiet' gives a totally different impression. Shout it from the rooftops because all three are seriously lovely and wonderfully talented actresses (though I notice no blondes...)

    :)

Stu_n's elevator is an entirely different beast from mine.

Very true. I'm an equal-opportunities hair colour man.

You say that, but they're all brunettes in your elevator so far.
