In between hay-fever induced sneezes, why not let your fellow readers know what's worth watching on tele right now?
I've done a few reviews this week, including Property Snakes & Ladders and Mental – hopefully a That Mitchell and Webb Look review coming later today, which overall I enjoyed. Still got last night's episodes of Royal Pains and Burn Notice to watch, of course, and The Daily Show's kind of ticking along, even if it isn't doing anything too hard hitting at the moment.
The Apprentice final was on Sunday, of course – the best one won for once. What a miracle. What an awful, awful prize: running a digital signage business for doctors' waiting rooms. That'll be so much more exciting than running your own restaurant Yasmina, won't it? Private Eye, incidentally, reveals (via the Sunday Mirror) that Debra cheated a couple of weeks ago by getting her parents to ring up the Shopping Channel and order the items she was trying to flog. Oh dear.
UPDATE: Forgot Nurse Jackie. That was okay. Nicely dark still, but still a bit bitty. Like her English best friend though.
As always, no spoilers unless you're going to use the <spoiler> </spoiler> tags, please? Ta!

Hey! I watched Nurse Jackie on the strength of your review! Pft. It was indeed only okay. I was thrown by the comparison to Green Wing and expected something fun and imaginative. Instead it was just a drama about a nurse with a heart of gold but no morals (that she saw sense in exercising). Which is okay if you like that sort of thing but nothing that I could get excited over.
I also got around to watching Caprica. It was dull and dreary and I swear I have seen the concept dealt with better on Outer Limits or some similar programme.
Ashes to Ashes was the highlight of the week. A stunning finale. Loved every second of it.
Ideal was okay. I bought the dvd for series one so when five has been broadcast, I will start watching from the beginning.
I also saw Robert Webb's piece on Eliot and other modern poets. It was incredibly moving. However it didn't move me anywhere near a poetry book. Poetry still leaves me cold (though I wish it were otherwise- I feel like I am missing out).

Oh yeah, we watched the Webb piece as well: it was okay, but I think we've enjoyed the shows that are more focused on the poets and less on poetry fans or the involvement of poetry in 'celebrity' lives. Still, I did like the poem Webb's wife Abigail Burdess wrote for him.
We also started rewatching (on DVD) the jaw dropping Funland which we were completely bowled over by when it aired a couple of years ago. Pure 18 certificate narrative: wickedly funny and nasty. Loved it!

Checked out 'Nurse Jackie' online, and wasn't bothered by the bleeped language. I liked it, but not enough to order Showtime to continue watching it. I'll wait for the DVD set and rent through Netflix.
Am now watching 'Primeval' in real time after watching the first three of this season via the bit torrent rebel alliance. Caught last night's repeat of the one with the gigantosaurus on the runway. It certainly didn't do the image of journalism any good....
Returned to the third episode of 'Mental' only for Carradine, which personally paid off with a blog post for me. Otherwise, meh.
Watched the 3rd 'Wallander' episode and I hope there'll be more? I enjoyed the slower pace and the dark material.
I'm still sticking with 'Harper's Island' just to see if my guess as to the killer is correct. I'm still unable to tell most of the female characters from each other but at least they're being winnowed down quickly enough....
Even with the regular season over, my DVR got backlogged pretty quickly. I've got 'Royal Pains' (both episodes), last night's 'Burn Notice' and 'The Listener', 'Tosh 2.0', a 'Law & Order' repeat, two 'Stargate' movies, 'My Man Godfrey', and 'Foyle's War' on top of the stuff already locked in for eventual viewing.....

@Toby: Wallander has been confirmed for a second series.
@Rev: NJ doesn't have the surreality of Green Wing, but it is as bitty and as dark, which is what I was going for with the comparison. I'd argue that NJ does have morals and indeed imposes them on lots of people; she just isn't perfect and does some bad things as well

Highlight of the week for me was definitely A2A finale which was awesome and I have squeeeed rapturously about it on my blog.
Managed to miss last ever Primeval. Curses.
And only just caught up with M&W which I really enjoyed. I think David Mitchell should be the next Poirot.
Have managed to miss all the poetry progs. Sigh. Am hoping they will repeat.
