OMG. Haven't stopped laughing at the thought that Joss Stone is going to play Anne of Cleves. Have the people who created the Tudors never heard of the Flanders Mare? Oh scrub that. They probably don't care. Can't WAIT to see what they do to Arthur and Camelot!!!

If Jack Bauer dies in a movie after Season 8, it'll probably be from old age. The show has dealt only in days, and has only been around for five years or so; but within its own reality at least 20 years must have passed by now, what with all the Presidents that have trooped through!

    A BIT flakey??????

Although if Philippa Gregory is to believed Anne wasn't actually that ugly, just the Flanders fashions seemed old fashioned and dull and her manners Germanly prissy (having German inlaws, I can see how this prejudice might have arisen!!), which was part of the problem. Oh, and at their first meeting in Rochester Henry thought it would be a good wheeze to turn up disguised as an old drunken tramp to insult the new Queen. Everyone but her of course knew who it was, and she was so horrified she was rude to him and apparently he never forgave her. So perhaps Joss Stone is right after all....(But I still can't imagine the Tudors which is after all all about Beautiful People will try and uglify her at all)

She's less believable once you've read Alison Weir (my wife informs me).

Ah, good tip. Haven't read any Alison Weir. Sounds like I should. I get seduced by PG telling me how much of an historian she is. I did like The Boleyn Inheritance though, but don't think I can bear to read her one on Mary Queen of Scots as I feel sure it will seem like a travesty after Royal Road to Fotheringhay. I bet Jean Plaidy's history is more accurate.
