I think the idea of casting Gina Bellman will turn out to be just patriotic wishful thinking for a few New Zealanders. She's part of the cast of 'Leverage' now (and quite a lot of fun in it, btw), and I'm sure she was signed to a standard contract tying her to that show. Usually about five years, I think. I think the show can be deemed a success (at least here in the States), so I don't see them letting her go just so she can work with Moffat again.
BTW, maybe it was my computer here at work, but I couldn't get the link to "talk 3" to work...

I agree re: Bellman. I'm liking Leverage a lot, too, and it's likely to last a season at least at this rate. Seven years is standard, I think, but it might be different on cable. I also don't think she'd work well with Smith.
Talk 3 works fine here, but I think you've read it - it's about MacGoohan not doing a cameo.

I think the Gina rumour is just "think of an actress who has worked with Stevan Moffat a lot". Look out for a Sarah Alexander rumour coming your way soon.
Also: Heroes with no Claire Bear???

"Heroes with no Claire Bear???"
Can we really get that lucky? Liked her first season, irritated by her this season. Plus if she goes, that's anything up to three other cast members out of a job, which should end all those requests for a pruning of the ranks.
It would probably be bad for the show, though. Personally, I think they should follow my radical proposition to end all these complaints by actresses that they don't actually have anything proper to do by giving the actresses something proper to do. Far better than watching whiny Peter whine around the world trying to fix his future whiny destiny, or Nathan deciding to be evil because it's a Tuesday.

Oh man, we finally get past all the "Who is the next Who?" stuff and now it's time for "Who is' the next Who companion".
If Heroes loses Claire I will repeal my decision to stop watching it. She's awful.

I remember, back in the glory days of season one, when the Heroes writers were talking about changing the cast between seasons to keep things fresh (quoting 24 and its character turnover rate). Shame they never did that really.

They listened to the fans. As always, look where that got them. On the other hand, look what happened in season two in terms of who they ended up introducing. Rock v hard place, really.

Fans don't know what makes for good television. That's why we have critics.
