On Ali Larter (who let's not forget was the original gold standard of hotness on the blog), certainly. Although she could wear pretty much anything, ranging from this to this or even this and I'd still be happy.
It's a nice dress though - she should wear it more often.
Ali? Hotness personified, sure. But more than that, she's finally cast appropriately, which is ironic considering she's been on the show all this time.
She's very good as this ice queen type. She kind of reminds me of Ann Coulter (who, for you Brits is this horrible conservative Rethuglican political pundit that we must suffer through from time to time) only will a much less jagged face.
The show got so much better, too, over the last couple weeks. Thing is you have to sit through sooooo many really horrible episodes to get to the decent ones.
Or, is it that all the other eps were so so so bad that these last two not being so terrible just look good in comparison.
In any event, last night Claire crossed her own timeline, and I know that somewhere out there is a guy in a blue police call box who would chastise her for that.
And then the actor playing him would just probably ask her out.
Tracy's definitely my favourite of the characters Larter for much the reasons you mention, although Jessica comes a close second thanks to her taste in clothes and one-liners – and rampant sociopathy.
The last two episodes have definitely been a whole lot better, since (judging by Bryan Fuller's recent comments) the writers have cottoned on to what the problems have been this season and are busily trying to rectify them. I think The Eclipse Part II was slightly inferior though since it suffered a little from having to deal with a load of continuity and course correction, leaving Our Father a clearer run at being proper Heroes.
Can't help you with the young blondes thing, since 0=paedophilia for me, but the 30-40 feisty blonde range (aka "The Katherine Heigl-Kelly Rutherford axis") I could write an essay on, if you needed one.
PS Favourite 30 Rock line: "I've just got back from Ann Coulter's 60th birthday party"
And then the actor playing him would just probably ask her out.
What's with DT and these young blondes, anyway?
You find what works, you stick with it. (Although if the opportunity ever comes up I hope he doesn't sleaze up like Jeremy Piven did.) Better young blondes than, say, staggeringly unfunny comediennes with large chests.
About the blog
This is a UK media blog with daily news, views, exclusive reviews and good conversation. There's a bit of a bias towards the latest and greatest US TV, but we also cover British TV ranging from new Doctor Who to old Z Cars, Property Ladder to Big Brother, and BBC4 to S4C – yes, this blog is firmly part of the conspiracy to promote all things Welsh where possible, particularly Caerdydd.
Add in film, theatre, art, books, events and media journalism and you've (hopefully) got one of the best places on the web for media lovers. Oh yes, and there's The Carusometer, the ultimate guide to quality TV.
About me
I'm Rob Buckley, a freelance journalist who writes for UK media magazines that most people have never heard of. I've edited Dreamwatch, Sprocket and Cambridge Film Festival Daily; been technical editor for trade magazine Televisual; reviewed films for the short-lived newspaper Cambridge Insider; written features for the even shorter-lived newspaper Soho Independent; and contributed sarcastic articles about television to the blink-and-you-missed-it "web site for urban hedonists" The Tribe. I'm freelance now and have contributed to the likes of Broadcast, Total Content + Media, Action TV, Off The Telly and TV Scoop. Have pity on me.
