Yes, they really are remaking it and you can see it being filmed, you lucky (?) people:

We thought that you might be interested to know that audience tickets are now available for a brand new series starring Martin Clunes!

PERRIN

Inspired by the original books and TV series of the 70s, PERRIN updates the world of the classic sitcom character Reginald Perrin, placing it and him in 2009.

Starring Martin Clunes, PERRIN is a modern story of a deskbound sales executive combating personal crises with flights of fancy, pushed by personal and work related stress towards insanity.

The show will be taping at Teddington Studios. If you would like to join us, then apply now!

The show will take place on Wednesday 10th December at 7.00pm and then Saturday 3rd & Friday 9th January.

Booking is now open and may apply online via our website at http://www.sroaudiences.com

    *sigh*

    Another remake...

Perhaps it's time I switched to script writing so we could get some new and fresh material out there.

So its true.. .there are no original ideas.. only remakes! Its not a good as you remember.. but... its still great. Some people still do that gag at work 'Hows the mother in law' *picture of the roaring hippo* Would they still do that now... I doubt it!

I know this is a hard one to take, but give it a chance it works on another level. It is not a straight remake, more like a reimagining (if that is how you spell it). Martins Reggie is modern, dark and funny in a new way. Give it a chance, it's different enough to be good.
