Oh, for God's sake, Rich. The Neil Gaiman and Tom Baker rumours are completely unconfirmed (and Rich got the former from heavy hints Gaiman left lying about on his blog) and someone's just naming everyone Moffatt's worked with as a potential Doctor!

(I know Rich. He loves this stuff. He usually gets it wrong)

So if we go with the 'people who used to work with Moffat' theory then how long before we get the rumour of Dexter Fletcher as the Doctor and Julia Sawalahahahaha as his companion?

I think Johnson from Peep Show would be a good Doctor, as long as SuperHans was his companion.

Is anyone keeping a tally of how many actors are going to succeed David Tennant as the Doctor? It must be quite large by now...

If we're going for Peep Show actors, surely David Mitchell is the more obvious choice?

Let's see... it's been definitely James Nesbitt, Robert Carlyle, John Simm (in a body-swap plot), David Morrissey and now Paterson Joseph; Harry Lloyd and Russell Tovey have been 'Rusty's personal picks'; and Jennifer Saunders, Sean Pertwee and Chiwetel Ejiofor have been mentioned in dispatches.

Stu, I didn't get the Gaiman story from Gaiman. His posts bolstered my confidence running with it, but that's all.

The Baker story... well that's all but been confirmed for Children In Need.

As for my track record, the Martha-back-in-Series-4 story happened, and the Torchwood-Series-3-has-5-episodes also confirmed.

The only person I've reported considered for the next Doctor is Paterson. I'm not The Sun. I'm not just pulling this stuff from the ether.

He threw his hat into the ring a while ago, but also said that he didn't feel he was "good looking enough".

Bloody hell, Johnston, you turn up everywhere. Is no place safe?

The Tom Baker for CiN is a bit weak, when you were implying it was for the series proper.

And everyone knows the Sun gets its stories from Outpost Gallifrey-as-was.
