I'm sure Robert Downey Jr will be a good Holmes, and Jude Law... well, y'know, he might surprise us... but I'm still not sure there's any point making new Holmes adaptations when the Jeremy Brett series are still around. He nailed it so perfectly, and the adaptations were so good (unlike the Basil Rathbone films, which took liberties) that they just are Holmes.
