Watch the Eisteddfod, say Ioan, Matthew and Gethin

    Knowing your love of all things Welsh, Rob, I just thought I'd let you know that my daughter's school just put on a (Ok mainly incomprehensible when you haven't read the play - AND I'm a Dylan Thomas fan) production of Under Milk Wood and most of the kids managed reasonable Welsh accents. They even sold bara brith (?) - so even in snobby Surrey there exist secret Welshophiles...

    My love of Dylan Thomas was permanently impaired by having to compare him with RS Thomas for GCSE English Literature. Cursed man and his distaste for punctuation! Still, as long as Welshness spreads throughout the land, I can forgive him...
