Is that really a low rating for 'EastEnders'? What type of numbers does it usually pull in? Couldn't they just be off because it's summer and people are out doing other things than watch TV?

    But she can't act.

It's never stopped half of the cast of Casualty.

Does the news about "Sweet FA" put the kibosh to her joining 'Torchwood'? Or was that five episode mini-event already filmed? And was she already done with 'Survivors'?

Busy girl. Leaving the TARDIS will probably be the best thing that could have happened.

Have you not noticed who the show runner of L&O: London is? Why, it's Chris Chibnall...

Although the Beeb has expressed a desire to do longer-run TV series (13 episodes or so) as the norm, ITV hasn't and even the Beeb rarely strays beyond eight episode commissions. I dare say L&O: London will probably be six episodes, since that's the usual ITV standard, although who knows - maybe one of the stipulations for the franchise extension is that it be at least 13.

All the same, I think Torchwood filming starts next month and that's six episodes, Survivors has been filming for a while (and the pictures are already out there) and is probably only going to be eight episodes anyway. Not sure when Little Dorrit, which is her other one, is going to start filming.

It used to get 20 million+, back in the day, around Christmas. Nowadays, 5 or 6 million is a very good day indeed. This was its second lowest rating ever. The excuse is that Emmerdale is going for a full hour long episode that starts half an hour before Enders, but it might just be that Enders is rubbish these days.

You should pretty much ignore this comment and pretend I never said it, judging from today's news....
